The sessions included:
> Chemical Engineering
> Electromagnetic Modelling
> Computer Sciences
> Civil Engineering
> Mathematic Science
> Electrical Engineering and
> Petrolium Engineering
Each session had its own exciting activity, give the girls (and teachers) a chance to explore and create. Undoubtable, the highlight of the day was civil engineering activity which asked groups to create a structure that would with stand a simulated earthquake!
The structures were made from straws, wood skewers, blu-tack, string and rubberbands and had to hold a marble while place on the earthquake simulator.
In an (almost) unanimous decision, the students convincingly beat the teachers making a far more stable and attractive structure. (pictures below)
Big thanks the students who did their school proud and the University of Adelaide for hosting the event!
